Atlapedia - This resource allows students to search for information about any country by simply typing in the first letter. The information has a similar set up to an encyclopedia, including climate, population, history, etc. The downside is that it also has ads at the top, bottom, and in a sidebar.
National Geographic Interactive Maps - This is an awesome resource that I found out about from my classmate, Tara Melton. It allows the user to create a map with any information on it that they would like. It would be perfect for the 4th graders' study of Missouri, the 6th graders' study of Africa, and many other projects at every grade level.
Time for Kids - This resource has a valuable search tool that allows students to search for any topic. The search will return anything from photos and slide shows to in-depth articles. This is a great source of interesting topics as well as a good research tool.
